Arash Toupchinejad

Financial Analyst

Arash joined the National Investment Team in February 2022 as a Financial Analyst, where he assists in the underwriting, analysis, and preparation of proposals, and provides due diligence support for all real estate investment asset types across Western Canada. Particularly, he focuses on Development Land, Multifamily, and Joint-Venture Equity Raise mandates, while also leading the team’s in-house research initiatives and deliverables.

Before joining CBRE, Arash interned at Plurimi, an external asset manager in Dubai, where he gained valuable insights into global investment strategies. Prior to that, he worked for his family's development business in Vancouver, where he acquired hands-on experience in real estate development.

Arash holds a Master of Science in Finance from Georgetown McDonough School of Business and completed his BMOS degree with a specialization in Finance at Western University. Beyond his academic credentials, he was a Junior Research Fellow with the NATO Association of Canada and has contributed op-ed articles on geopolitical, economic and social policies for publications such as The Hill Times, The National Interest, and The European Student Think Tank. Arash also served as a News Writer as part of the United Nations Volunteers Program, where he reported on global issues pertaining to climate change.

Outside of his professional pursuits, he is an avid chess player and a mixed martial arts enthusiast, reflecting his passion for strategy and discipline. Arash is also currently learning how to play the piano.
